Assynt Church of Scotland

A plaque inside commemorates James Gordon who "was for 50 years a devoted member and elder of this church which by his zeal and enterprise was removed stone by stone from Nairn and re-erected on its present site in 1903".

  1. Transfered in 1903?? Goodness, I wonder just how old the structure is then. I love the stones!

  2. Yes, it is attractive, but there is something about the height to width ratio, the warp to weft. Am I seeing things, or is the height very tall in comparison with the width?

  3. «Louis», always fascinated with church architecture, would like to see this!
