Old herring factory, Tanera Mòr

The ruins of the former herring factory at the head of the harbour jetty are out of bounds due to their dangerous condition. The telephone box, though no longer working, is somewhat incongruously situated.

  1. It's fun to imagine that the phone box would have been pretty well used when the factory was in it's heyday!

  2. Such beautiful ruins, too bad they're out of bounds.

    Happy RT2!

  3. Great find for Ruby Tuesday. Happy RT!

    Mine's here.

  4. Yes I thought the phone box was out of place, but then I guess that like Grace said it was perhaps once well used.

  5. Hi there, thanks for the info on the Wind Rose, when I went back and studied the link a little more intently, it did all make sense, this particular one had the study dates as being from 1944 to 2004, interesting stuff!

  6. Wonderful old ruins! They would be so enchanting to explore if you could! And I wonder why that was chosen as the site for the telephone box! Strange and fascinating scene!
