Assynt Old Parish Church

The church, at Inchnadamph, dates back to 1743 and was the parish church till 1898. It was much renovated in 1900 and restored in 2005. The graveyard contains MacLeods of Assynt and MacKenzies of Ledbeg.

Telford Kirk, Stoer

Although now roofless, this ruin is instantly recognisable as one of the 'parliamentary' kirks designed by Thomas Telford in the 1820s. The cross on the nearer gable is not part of the original design.

Assynt Church of Scotland

A plaque inside commemorates James Gordon who "was for 50 years a devoted member and elder of this church which by his zeal and enterprise was removed stone by stone from Nairn and re-erected on its present site in 1903".
