Knockan Puzzle

Depiction of the celebrated Moine Thrust where older Moine rocks lie on top of younger Durness Limestone. At the Knockan Crag in the NW Highlands Geopark. More info at the Knockan Crag website.

Marine worm sculpture, Knockan Crag

A carving of a marine worm, fossil burrows of which can be found here in pipe rock, dating back some 540 million years.

Wall of Art

This is one of a series of sculptures on the Knockan Cliff Trail. It takes the form of a wall supported on a metal arch. It is called 'Thrust', was designed by Frances Pelly and built by Joe Smith and Max Nowell.
