Sustainably Powered School

Stoer Primary School and its controversial wind turbine. Local feeling about it is mixed, according to articles in the local newspapers.

    I can well imagine the mixed feelings! But I think we do need more of this kind of energy.

    I think this is a brilliant idea, especially in areas of high and consistent wind. We simply have to get over our mixed-feelings. We will not get sick because of wind-turbines ... it is a fallacy.

    Nice capture! I totally understand the mixed emotions. The energy produced is great...but, few people want to look at wind turbines.

    I suppose if these wind turbines were more like the older, more romantic looking windmills, there wouldn't be quite so much controversy.
